Hi, I’m Mila,
I am a trauma-informed, solution-focused hypnotherapist and therapeutic arts facilitator based in Roundhay, Leeds. With a unique blend of creativity and healing, I guide people to overcome emotional and psychological hurdles, empowering them to find peace, clarity, and renewed strength. I’m a proud member of the National Council for Hypnotherapists (NCH) and the Association for Personal Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP) member.
My fascination with the mind-body connection began in the late 1980s.  Growing up in Ukraine, I vividly remember watching Soviet television psychotherapist Anatoly Kaspersky perform hypnosis during live broadcasts of surgeries— a demonstration of the mind’s incredible ability to overcome pain. I was too young to grasp the political motives behind these shows, but I was captivated by the power of the mind. That curiosity sparked a lifelong passion for psychology, leading me to complete a course in the field.
However, my life path took me in another direction. I’ve always been multi-creative, and at a crossroads, I chose to pursue a career as an artist and designer—partly because it allowed me to balance family responsibilities, including raising my newborn son and caring for my mother and grandmother. Art became my solace and, unknowingly, my form of therapy. As a portrait artist, photographer, and designer, I built a remarkable career travelling across Europe, exhibiting my work at prestigious venues, and receiving awards. But despite these successes, something was missing.
It wasn’t until 2014, when I opened an Art Café and cultural hub in the heart of York, that I truly understood the healing power of art. Through the café, I witnessed firsthand how creativity, poetry, music, and human connection could soothe emotional wounds and uplift the spirit. This realization set me on a deeper path toward healing—for myself and others.
When the pandemic hit and the world was forced into isolation, I felt a calling to create more than just art. I designed handmade lamps and shades to promote well-being and calm during meditation. Then, as the war in Ukraine unfolded and deeply affected my health, my family, and my friends, I knew I had to go further. This led me to fully embrace my desire to become a healer in the broader sense. I began volunteering in refugee centres and mental health charities and continuing self-development, building up my resilience with the help of platforms like Mindvalley.
I immersed myself in trauma-informed education, creative art therapy, somatic EMDR, and coaching. I completed a comprehensive solution-focused therapy and clinical hypnosis certification at SFTA, Leeds Trinity University. This program combined psychotherapy and hypnosis in a way that resonated with my vision. I found it fascinating that "rewiring negative patterns" entails Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy based on new neuroscience. This approach involves leveraging neuroscientific principles to help individuals shift their thoughts, old patterns, and behaviours towards more positive and constructive pathways.

Today, as a clinical hypnotherapist and therapeutic arts facilitator, I merge my artistic background with my therapeutic training to offer a unique healing experience. Whether through hypnosis or art-based interventions, I’m here to help people navigate their emotions, find solutions to their challenges, and reclaim control over their lives.
Creativity remains at the core of everything I do. Creative thinking allows me to tailor a unique treatment plan to each client.  While I continue to study art therapy, nothing fulfils me more than seeing the positive impact I can have on people’s lives. I invite you to explore this healing journey with me, where the mind, body, and spirit unite in a safe, supportive space. Let's work together to unlock your potential, heal past wounds, and create a brighter future.
