SFH is a therapeutic approach that focuses on helping individuals achieve their desired goals and outcomes. Unlike traditional therapy, which often explores past traumas or negative experiences, solution-focused therapy focuses on present and future possibilities.
Hypnosis enhances focus, relaxation, and access to the subconscious mind, allowing for deeper exploration of solutions and personal growth.
What to Expect in SFH Sessions
In a typical 60-minute Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy session at Mind's Eye Works, the client can expect a blend of talking therapy and hypnosis to guide them toward positive change. The first 30 minutes focus on a structured, goal-oriented conversation, where the therapist encourages the client to explore their future aspirations and the steps needed to achieve them. This approach is centred on the client's strengths, helping them visualize progress rather than dwelling on past challenges. The second half of the session involves hypnosis, where the client is guided into a relaxed, focused state, allowing the subconscious mind to become more open to positive suggestions. This gentle trance state promotes mental clarity and stress reduction and supports the client's journey toward achieving their goals.
A typical solution-focused hypnotherapy session involves the following steps:
Goal Setting: You'll discuss your goals and what you hope to achieve through therapy.
Hypnosis Induction: The therapist will guide you into a relaxed state of hypnosis, which involves focusing on your breath, sensations, and internal experiences.
Exploration of Solutions: During the talking part of the therapy and while in a hypnotic state, you'll explore potential solutions and positive outcomes. The therapist will help you visualize and experience these possibilities.
Anchoring Positive Experiences: The therapist may anchor positive experiences or emotions to help you more easily access them in the future.
Post-Hypnotic Suggestions: The therapist may provide suggestions to support your progress and reinforce your goals.
